The Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (the department) cordially invites you to register for virtual information sessions for pre-border treatment providers and related industry in preparation for the 2025-2026 Brown marmorated stink bug (BMSB) risk season.
The department’s BMSB seasonal measures will apply to targeted goods manufactured in or shipped from target risk countries, that have been shipped between 1 September 2025 and 30 April 2026 (inclusive), and to vessels that berth, load, or tranship from target risk countries within the same period.
The department will host two information sessions via Microsoft Teams Live in the week starting 11 August 2025; the sessions will be one hour and 30 minutes in duration.
The sessions will cover the following topics:
- Methyl Bromide Fumigation Methodology v3.0.
- AusTreat registration requirements and approved treatments for BMSB.
- The department’s compliance verification activities for 2025-2026 and observations from the 2024-2025 risk season.
- Treatment certificate lodgement portal updates, including tips for best practice.
There will be time at the end of each session for attendees to ask questions.
Please note that while the information presented will be directed at treatment providers, attendance at the sessions is open to all. So, to ensure maximum participation, stakeholders, including customers and supply chain partners, be welcome.
